The world is such a big and beautiful place that it would be impossible to see it all during any one lifetime, but there are some places so special, so unique, that you should make a conscious effort to visit them before you die! It would be such a waste to let life pass by without venturing out and taking in at least one of these incredible places while you still can.
Tunnel of Love – Kleven, Ukraine
This beautiful leafy green tunnel is located in Ukraine. The passageway is actually a private railroad used to deliver wood to a factory. The train passing along the railroad has formed the beautiful arch you see in the picture. It’s become a popular spot for photographers as well as more passionate endeavours; hence the name ‘Tunnel of Love’.
Plitvice Lakes, Croatia
The Plitvice Lakes National Park is the oldest national park in Southeast Europe and the largest national park in Crotia. It’s full of beautiful lush greenery, and crystal clear waters. Living in the park’s forests you will find bears, wolves and lots of rare species of birds.
Blue Lagoon, Iceland
This natural wonder is set in the heart of the Icelandic landscape. It’s a highly sought after destination for tourists and makes a fantastic getaway for couples looking for a romantic getaway with a twist.
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, China
If you have seen the movie Avatar then you probably recognize this picture! You will be pleased to learn that this isn’t some fantasy world, but it’s located right here on Earth at the Zhangjianjie National Forest Park in China.
Seven falls, Lake Sebu, Philippines
As the name implies, this incredible Lake in Sebu, Philippines is home to seven magnificent waterfalls. If you get the chance to visit here then you should take advantage of the zip line at the top of the first waterfall for one amazing view.
This final destination on the list is probably one of the most expensive to visit, but you can see why from the pictures. These small islands are covered in palm trees, white sandy beaches and pristine clear waters.
It’s a great place for honeymooners who want to spend some time shacked up together in a little piece of paradise. A two week stay in some of the finer villas in the Maldives can cost in excess of $10,000, just for two weeks, so unfortunately it’s not a place which everybody will get to see, but if you have the means then this one should definitely be on your list.
I hope these sights have given you some food for thought and opened up a bit of an adventurer in yourself. Make it goal for next year, start getting out there and seeing what the world has to offer.
