Ho! Ho! Ho! It’s going to be Christmas again in a few weeks. Children anticipate the Christmas season for a number of reasons. The holiday season gives them some time away from school and more time to spend with their loved ones and friends. The anticipation is doubled and even made much more exciting because of Christmas Day. After all, there will be a lot of gifts received and exchanged, and what child cannot resist all those gift-wrapped boxes, right? And then there is Santa Claus, of course – the jolly, red-cheeked, white-bearded man dressed in red velvet with white fur trimmings.

As parents, we want to give our children beautiful, meaningful, and wonderful Christmas holidays. If it means dressing up as Santa Claus, then dressing up is what we will do. Here are some tips for playing Sana Claus.

Find a Good Santa Claus Costume

You will not be Santa if you do not have a good Santa Claus suit. Fortunately, there are a lot of stores that sell Santa Claus suits; you can even buy some online. The cost of the costume depends upon the materials used, but the prices usually range anywhere from as low as $50 to as high as $600. The more the costume is accessorized, the more expensive it gets. For example, there are Santa Claus suits that have tiny bells sewn into it or boots that match the suit. Because Santa Claus has a big belly, be sure to look for a good pillow that can serve as his belly.

Shopping for Christmas Toys

The best time to shop for Christmas toys is November. It is only a few weeks before December, so you will not have to suffer through foot traffic and road traffic just so you could purchase some gifts for your children. Also, there are some malls that offer a wonderful selection of toys at very discounted prices.

Another way to shop for Christmas toys is to go online. You can also find great collection of toys in buy-and-sell sites such as eBay. If you do not find anything that you want in these online sites, then visit the websites of toy manufacturers. Some manufacturers sell their products at discounted prices, giving you a good deal.

Finally, stock up on gift wrappers, ribbons, scotch tape, and greeting cards. Do not forget the Christmas socks as well, and the candies, chocolates, and little toys that you will be putting in it.

Hiding the Christmas Items

As mentioned earlier, you will benefit a lot if you shop earlier for your Christmas toys. No foot traffic in the malls; no road traffic to take away your Christmas spirit; and there are great deals and discounts to enjoy as well. However, you will need a good hiding space for all your goodies before Christmas Eve, a place that your children will not even suspect.

Yes, you can hide them in the attic, garage, or basement, but curious children can easily find them if they set their mind to it. If you want to keep them away from your inquisitive children, then rent a small storage unit where you can safely and secretly store them in till it is time to place them under the Christmas tree. According to US Storage Centers, storage units are safe to store your items in, what with its various security features such as surveillance cameras and electrified fences to protect your things.
