Prague Orloj As the Third Oldest Astronomical Clock in the World

The Prague Orloj is an astronomical clock installed in the year 1410 in Prague (Czech Republic) and is still working. Prague Orloj enjoys most of tourists that comes to visit Prague city. The clock consists of 3 parts – the calendar in the lower part with month symbols painted by Josef Manes, the sphere or clock dial in the center with ancient Czech and present day time, sunrise, sunset, movements of the Moon and Sun, and the walk of the apostle at the top, which is probably the most entertaining part of the clock for the tourists.

American Eskimo Dog from the Spitz Family

The American Eskimo dog from the Spitz family has nothing to do with the Eskimos. The American Eskimo dog is an excellent watchdog. His job is to protect his home and family. This breed is known to was a part of traveling circuses in America. This breed is not suitable for the first-time dog owners because the Eskie performs its dominant behavior if it is not well trained, but they can learn very fast.

Wonderful Flowers of Pitaya Alias Dragon Fruit

The Pitaya flower is a cactus flower of the genus Hylocereus. Actually pitaya is the fruit. This fruit is known under the name dragon fruit too. These plants are native to Mexico and Central and South America. The fruits are eaten raw without skin, just the flesh inside. It has small seeds similar to kiwi. The taste of the fruit is mild sweet. There are three types of this cactus – Hylocereus undatus (red pitaya/red skin-white flesh), Hylocereus costaricensis (Costa Rica pitaya/red skin-red flesh) and Hylocereus megalanthus (yellow pitay/yellow skin-white flesh). The pitayas are good source of vitamin C, lower cholesterol and blood pressure.
