Experimental Models of Aircraft Technology at Smithsonian

One of the most interesting ones are experimental aircraft models of the HiMAT and Grumman X-29. While HiMAT alias Highly Maneuverable Aircraft Technology is a research plane model piloted by a computer which allows remote control of the flight. The Grumman X-29 model is built with many experimental technologies, especially with the forward-swept wings and canard control surface. This model is still tested by the NASA program.

Champagne Vineyard and Wine Production in France

This sparkling wine is produced by a method called méthode champenoise, the bubbles (CO2) are naturally produced by fermentation of sugar in a bottle. This process is known to be used by a monk called Dom Perignon back in the 17th century together with usage of the cork for the bottle. Today is Champagne still very good place with its soil for planting grapes managing hectares of vineyards producing quality wine.

There are together eleven cities in Okinawa Prefecture with many town. Around the island are unique coral reefs and caves. What is so great for tourists is that temperatures stay above 20 °C over the whole year. Okinawan people live longer than people anywhere in the world, probably its the combination of their low-fat and low-salt diet with minimal stress and wonderful nature.

Today is this place called Democratic Republic of Congo. What is especially sad, is the devastation and never-ending fight on this piece of planet. Second Congo War, which started in 1998, resulted in 5,4 million of dead people until the end in 2003. Through this so called peace, fighting still continues in the east of country and violence is significant part of this country. But what is alarming even today is the dying rate of 45 000 people per month.

Small Bermudas Trip with a Big Ship

Bermudas is a British territory discovered in 1505 by Spanish navigator Juan de Bermúdez. Many famous actors and stars have properties on the Bermudas including for example Michael Douglas or Catherine Zeta Jones. The population is about 70 000 inhabitants. Around island is a fantastic coral reef. And as said famous Mark Twain: You go to heaven if you want – I’d rather stay here in Bermuda.
