Medical Journey of Hippocrates from Kos

Hippocrates from the Greek island of Kos (Cos) is known for his medical knowledge and is considered as the founder of the medicine and the father of Western medicine. He was one of first who understood that illness is not caused by some Gods or superstition but as results of external natural factors. He was born in Kos in 460 BC. You can see photos from todays Cos bellow. His work resulted in the Hippocratic Corpus which contains around 70 medical works. And never forget what Hippocrates said: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”.

Monuments and Sceneries of the Republic of Chile

Chile is a country with many natural contrasts. For those who like city architecture, is the capital city Santiago de Chile, the best option. But Chile is the perfect destination for the nature lovers too. So do not hesitate to conquer some of the peaks of the Andes, visit volcanoes or ancient forests. The preferred touristic destination is called Torres del Paine. Chile is the longest country with over 4 300 km (2 700 miles) along the southwestern coast of South America. It is the most developed and prosperous country of South America and is part of OECD since 2010 and a good example for the rest of South America countries.

The Wonderful Smell of Phlox Flowers in Summer

When someone say word summer you will imagine sun, watter, etc. For me, the first conjunction with the summer, is the smell of phlox flowers and apricots. There is about 67 different species of this flower out there. Some of them are few centimeters long and some are about one meter long. Which species you put into your garden depends on your preferences and the location but without a doubt phloxes should have permanent placement in your garden. Phlox can have purple, pink, violet, white or yellow color and should be planted on partial sun location with well-drained soil. Whichever species you choose, its smell is irresistible.
